On Monday 11th May the Sony Awards took place at Grosvenor House Hotel in Central London, with UBC Media going in with a total of five nominations including Unique's 'Jon Ronson On' and four for Smooth Operations.

 

Of the four Gold Awards given to independent production companies, Smooth Operations scooped 50% - a Gold for Mark Radcliffe as a music presenter for his Radcliffe & Maconie Show on BBC Radio 2, and a Gold for Count Arthur Strong on BBC Radio 4 - a joint production between Smooth Operations and Mark Radcliffe.
